28.02.2014

Russalia Kirova donated an oil on canvas work of DiKiro to Plovdiv's Opera House on March 7, 2014 . The donation of "Ballet" was announced at a ceremony following the Opera's 60the Anniversary performance. The painting, dating back to 1966, marks the beginning of Kirov's Ballet thematic cycle, and is emotionally related to the beginning of his lifetime artistic and intimate partnership with Russalia - a ballerina and ballet choreographer. I am so happy that a renewed stage in the Boris Hirstov Culture Home is finally available to Plovdiv's ballet, Kirova said at the ceremony. Kirova is the founder of the ballet school in Plovdiv four decades ago. The Plovdiv Opera's director, prof. Nina Naydenova accepted the donation and expressed gratitude on behalf of its team. Your love to the art of ballet is a bright example which inspires us to continue our creative search, she told Kirova.
